Warehouse Floor Resurfacing Salisbury
We provide warehouse floor resurfacing and concrete overlay systems throughout Salisbury and the wider Wiltshire area. Existing slabs are refurbished using bonded self levelling compounds, polymer modified cementitious overlays and resin finishes, specified to suit logistics, storage and production facilities while improving surface condition, levelness and day to day performance under industrial traffic.
20 +
Years
Experience in Concrete Flooring
Our Salisbury resurfacing work covers Churchfields Industrial Estate, Southampton Road commercial areas, Old Sarum Park, Amesbury and key sites along the A36, A338 and A303. Floors range from older industrial buildings with patch repairs and joint breakdown to modern logistics sheds serving regional and defence supply routes. We assess slab condition, plan the preparation and install an overlay system that supports reliable materials handling and storage.
Our Expertise
Our Process
STEP 1
Works begin with a detailed review of the existing concrete slab. We identify cracking, joint failure, surface wear, impact damage and historic repairs, which are common in long serving units on Churchfields and older buildings repurposed for storage. Defective areas are broken out and reinstated, joints are rebuilt where required and incompatible coatings are removed. The slab is then mechanically prepared using grinding, shot blasting and diamond tooling to create a consistent profile ready to accept a bonded warehouse floor overlay.
STEP 2
After preparation we install the specified overlay system. This may be a polymer modified cementitious topping, a cement based self levelling compound or a resin finish, selected to match loadings, internal climate, cleaning regime and the required surface characteristics. Thickness and flow are controlled to remove local undulations, refine falls where necessary and improve regularity across racking aisles, marshalling areas and loading zones in Salisbury warehouses and industrial units along the A36 and A338 corridors.
STEP 3
Once the overlay is placed it is cured in accordance with manufacturer guidance and the agreed programme. On suitable schemes, fast track systems can allow controlled light use in approximately 24 to 48 hours, with heavier forklift traffic and full racking occupation introduced once strength and hardness targets have been achieved. Movement and construction joints are reinstated or recut to manage slab behaviour and limit future edge damage. At handover we review the finish and provide maintenance and operating guidance tailored to the Salisbury facility.
Why Choose Us
Long term overlay performance depends on how well it bonds to the existing slab. Salisbury buildings often contain older concrete or mixed coatings, particularly in estates close to the city centre and rail lines. We give priority to mechanical preparation, cleaning and moisture assessment so primers and bonding agents can work correctly. This reduces the risk of debonding, blistering or surface instability under regular forklift and pallet truck traffic.
Distribution and storage facilities around Salisbury support routes to the A303, A36 and nearby military and logistics hubs. We plan resurfacing works around delivery schedules, shift patterns and seasonal demand, using phased work zones, temporary access and, where helpful, night or weekend working. This allows operations to continue while still providing the preparation and curing time needed for a durable industrial floor overlay.
Replacing a floor slab is disruptive and costly, especially in occupied units with established racking, services and plant. Resurfacing allows the structural slab to remain where it is sound while renewing the wearing surface with an overlay suited to the Salisbury site’s duty. This can extend the service life of the floor, reduce reactive patch repairs and support more predictable maintenance budgets.
